Opaque TPE or TPR compounds are derived from thermoplastic elastomers or thermoplastic rubber. Opaque TPE or TPR compounds provide a low degree of transparency and a high degree of opacity to the end products. Thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) or thermoplastic olefin (TPO) are blended chemically to obtain opaque TPE or TPR compounds. These elastomeric and thermoplastic components give them a high degree of flexibility and formability. Products requiring high flexibility, durability, temperature resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and recyclability are manufactured with opaque TPE or TPR compounds. Diverse products, such as shoes, gloves, and toys, can be manufactured using opaque TPE or TPR compounds through the processes of injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.
